David is a specialist in advanced life insurance, life settlement, estate planning, tax deferral strategies, and investment management. He assists families and business owners in building capital and preserving wealth by clearly defining and discussing a range of possibilities in order to formulate and implement the plans that will deliver the desired results.

David is a registered investment advisor representative and licensed life insurance professional (CA Ins Licence #OB82094). He is an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

David Mickelson

David lectures on various estate planning, insurance, and financial strategy topics. He frequently consults with law and accounting firms on the appropriate use of these financial strategies within estate planning and charitable planning situations.

After his undergraduate education at California State University Northridge, David completed graduate courses in Finance, Accounting and Computer Science. David makes his home in Oceanside, CA with his wife Carolyn, a talented and successful graphic designer, and their daughter Sarah, an honor student. David has served as a board member of the Women's Resource Center, a nonprofit organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Prior to entering financial services, David's career included a brief stint in Hollywood, ownership of a retail hardware store, an import/export company, and overseeing the management and subsequent sale of a closely held family manufacturing and distribution business.
